Whether you are looking to become a primary or secondary teacher in a mainstream or special school, our School Direct programme is an excellent way of getting into the teaching profession.

School Direct is a school-led initial teacher training (SCITT) programme which enables you to be immersed in teaching from the very start, fully preparing you for your teaching career. We work closely with a consortium of primary and secondary schools near to Newcastle, Kidsgrove and Crewe and work in partnership with Staffordshire University, The OAKS, KNSPS and Derby University. In just 1 year you could be fully trained with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a PGCE. The subjects on offer in our Secondary programme include:
